ASELSAN produces home solar inverters | Day by day Sabah – Day by day Sabah

The leading Turkish defense company ASELSAN is working on the domestic production of a photovoltaic solar inverter, which is required to transfer the energy generated in solar modules into grids.

According to the Anadolu Agency (AA), over $ 250 million (TL 1.8 billion) has been spent importing these inverters in the past five years. The project aims to relieve the import costs.

Turkey's renewable energy capacity has seen a remarkable increase over the past decade. According to statistics from February 2020, the capacity of other fuels to generate electricity increased steadily by 7% per year.

The country has managed to become the ninth in the world and the third in Europe after the first introduction of solar systems in 2014 in order to increase the installed solar capacity.

ASELSAN wants to increase its share of the fast growing solar sector with the manufacture of its newest 250 kilowatt product.

The device, which can operate up to 1,500 volts DC voltage level, increases the efficiency with which energy is generated in order to meet modern technological requirements.
